A six-vehicle accident at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 1 on I-35 south of Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City, Kan., resulted in one injury, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
All six vehicles were southbound on I-35 at the time, the trooper’s report stated.
According to the trooper’s report, a 2012 Honda Odyssey rear-ended a 2002 Ford F-150, causing the F-150 to strike a third vehicle, which then struck a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, which then struck a 2002 Hyundai Elantra, which then struck a 2000 Acura TL.
The third vehicle was not identified in the trooper’s report, but the driver of that vehicle was listed as a 36-year-old resident of Olathe. He was not injured.
The driver of the Hyundai Sonata, a 45-year-old woman from Overland Park, Kan., was injured and taken to a hospital in Kansas City, Kan., according to the report.
The other drivers were not listed as injured. They included a 28-year-old woman from Overland Park, Kan., who was driving the Honda Odyssey; a 61-year-old man from Lenexa, Kan., who was driving the Ford F-150; a 45-year-old man from Olathe, Kan., driving the Hyundai Elantra; and a 45-year-old man from Overland Park, Kan., driving the Acura TL.
