Olathe gun dealer sentenced for conspiracy in bribes for firearms

An Olathe gun dealer was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kan., to 18 months in federal prison for paying bribes to employees of the company that makes Glock firearms, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said.

John Sullivan Ralph III, 42, Olathe, Kan., pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to defraud Glock by paying bribes and kickbacks to Glock employees for preferential treatment.

Ralph owned Global Guns and Hunting, Inc., of Olathe, Kan., doing business as OMB Guns. From 2003 to 2009 Ralph paid 140 bribes and kickbacks to co-defendants totaling approximately $900,000.

Co-defendants include:
Lisa Delaine Dutton, who was sentenced to 12 months and a day.
Welcome D. Wood, Jr., who is set for sentencing Nov. 16.
James Craig Dutton, who is set for sentencing Nov. 9.
Paula Ann Wood, who is set for sentencing Nov. 16.
