A person of interest was taken into custody today after a suspicious package was found near the Wyandotte County Courthouse, according to a sheriff’s spokeswoman.
Detectives with the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department, located and arrested a woman, who is a person of interest in the case, the spokeswoman said.
It is the beginning of an ongoing investigation, the spokeswoman said.
