A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Wyandotte County and surrounding counties.
According to the National Weather Service, the thunderstorm watch will be in effect from 8:05 p.m. Sept. 10 until 2 a.m. Sept. 11.
The primary threats are gusting winds with hail and lightning, according to the weather service. Moderate to heavy rainfall is also possible. The risk of tornados is low.
