I-70 has been shut down in Topeka, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
The interstate highway was shut down because of a suspicious package found on the roadway, the spokesman said.
The closure is on I-70 from U.S. 75 to MacVicar Avenue. A detour is in place.
