The Kansas City T-Bones shutout the Saltdogs, 1-0, as the T-Bones won the series Thursday night at Haymarket Park in Lincoln, Neb.
Kansas City starting pitcher Kris Regas pitched seven shutout innings and allowed just four hits. He tied his season high with seven strikeouts.
Aaron Baker (3-0) picked up the win, with a scoreless eighth inning. Fernando Hernandez picked up his team leading 16th save of the season, with a perfect ninth inning.
The only offense of the game came in the top of the ninth inning, when Jake Blackwood drove in Starlin Rodriguez from third base off Lincoln relief pitcher Mackenzie King (1-4), to give Kansas City a 1-0 lead.
The win gave Kansas City the series win, and the season series against Lincoln, 6-4.
The T-Bones (41-33) continue the seven-game road trip Friday evening against the central leading Sioux City Explorers, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
