Warm and dry weather will prevail through the upcoming weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Despite temperatures warming into the high 80s or lower 90s, afternoon heat indices will remain below dangerous levels, the weather service said.
There is a chance that showers and storms will return next week, in mid-week, according to the weather service. Widespread severe weather is not expected at this time.
