The Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Library at Wyandotte County Lake held an end-of-summer carnival Saturday that was met with delightful weather and a cool breeze, compared to what was predicted.

The event wrapped up the summer reading program at the Schlagle Environmental Library.

Dale Huffman was the “Magical Entertainer” who performed a morning and afternoon show. His business name is Magic and More.

The lake was relaxing with the sun dancing across the gentle waves.

Leavenworth Road Association again this year provided food.

There was also entertainment from a butterfly that stayed around testing the nectar of every nearby flower.
