Car unable to stop in time on I-70

A driver was unable to stop in time when traffic had stopped on westbound I-70 near 110th Street at 5:13 p.m. July 19, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.

The driver of a Pontiac G5 came up behind a semi that was stopped in traffic because of another accident, and rear-ended the semi, the trooper’s report stated.

The Pontiac’s driver, a 39-year-old Topeka, Kan., man, was injured, according to the trooper’s report.

The driver of the semi, a 59-year-old man from Aurora, Colo., was not injured, according to the report.
