Trucks collide in I-70 accident this morning

A three-vehicle accident this morning on I-70 near the 57th Street exit resulted in an injury, according to the Kansas Turnpike Authority.

According to the KTA trooper’s report, a 2014 HINO truck slowed to avoid hitting a 2001 Ford utility truck on westbound I-70 about 8:50 a.m. Saturday.

A 2007 four-door Ford on westbound I-70 rear-ended the HINO truck that slowed down, then the 2007 four-door Ford collided with the 2001 Ford utility truck, the report stated.

The driver of the 2007 Ford four-door, a 23-year-old woman from Olathe, Kan., was injured, according to the trooper’s report.

The driver of the 2014 HINO truck, a 21-year-old man from Lenexa, Kan., was not injured, according to the report.

The driver of the 2001 Ford utility truck, a 37-year-old man from Kansas City, Kan., was not injured, the report stated.
