A passenger from Kansas City, Kan., was in a motorcycle accident at 9:35 p.m. July 9 in Leavenworth County, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
The accident was on 158th just south of Loring Road, about 2.5 miles northeast of DeSoto.
The motorcycle was northbound on 158th when the driver, who was a 58-year-old man from Lansing, Kan., lost control, according to the trooper’s report. The motorcycle entered the west ditch and flipped, ejecting both riders, the report stated.
The driver and passenger were taken to a hospital, according to the report. The passenger was a 56-year-old woman from Kansas City, Kan.
Neither the driver nor passenger was wearing a safety helmet, the report stated.
