It’s three in a row for 7-year-old Brody Cook of Kansas City, Kan.

For the third straight year, the Glenwood Ridge third grader has qualified for the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. July 1 and Aug. 1-2.

Cook started riding at age 3 on a bike with training wheels.

Today, he rides a 50 cc dirt bike and competed this year in Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Illinois, Missouri and Kansas before qualifying for the national championship in Prentiss, Miss.

The son of Josh and Mindy Cook, he has one brother, Jackson, who rides but not in national competition.

More than 20,000 youngsters competed for one of 1,400 positions in this year’s qualifying.
