Wind blows Winnebago off I-70 in KCK

A Winnebago motor home traveling east on I-70 near the 57th Street exit in Kansas City, Kan., lost control because of high winds on Monday, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.

The Winnebago went off the right shoulder of I-70, down an embankment and struck the ditch, according to the trooper’s report.

The accident happened around 9:43 a.m. Monday, according to the report.

The driver, an 85-year-old man from Palm Harbor, Fla., was not injured, the report stated.

A passenger, an 86-year-old woman, had a possible injury, the report stated.
