Late rally falls short for T-Bones

A late rally fell short for the T-Bones on Monday night, who lost 7-4 to Sioux City in an away game.

The T-Bones will try again to stop the nine-game losing streak when they play at Sioux City tonight at 7:05 p.m.

The T-Bones launched a rally in the sixth inning, scoring one run, then another late rally in the eighth, scoring three runs. But it wasn’t enough to overcome the 7-0 lead the Explorers took by the fifth inning.

Getting RBIs were the T-Bones’ Nate Tenbrink, with a sacrifice fly; Jake Blackwood, with a single; and Adam Bailey, with a triple.

The T-Bones starting pitcher, Fernando Hernandez, was the losing pitcher, allowing three runs, three hits and three walks in three innings.

The T-Bones return home to play their fun style of baseball against Amarillo at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, June 4, at CommunityAmerica Ballpark in Kansas City, Kan. For tickets, call 913-328-5618 or visit www.tbonesbaseball.com.
