KCK man injured in accident on I-70

An injury accident was reported at 8:24 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, on I-70 eastbound near 57th Street in Kansas City, Kan.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, the driver of a Honda car in the right lane slowed down and then was rear-ended by a GMC pickup truck.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 72-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man, was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the report. The airbag was deployed, according to the report. The trooper’s report stated he was not wearing a safety restraint.

The driver of the Honda, a 38-year-old man from Shawnee, Kan., had a possible injury, according to the trooper’s report.
