A man in his 30s died this afternoon after being tasered near the parking lot of a store in the 1300 block of Quindaro Boulevard.
A Kansas City, Kan., police spokesman stated that officers were flagged down about 2:55 p.m. May 27 about a man acting strangely in the parking lot of a store.
Emergency medical service personnel were providing medical assistance to the man when he became combative with officers, the police spokesman said. A taser was used, the man was taken into custody and was taken to a hospital, the spokesman said.
The man later died at the hospital, the spokesman said. The cause of death was not determined or released.
Police are not releasing the man’s identity until there is positive identification and family notification, the spokesman said.
