Residents to see break in rainy season today

Today is a good day to get out and run errands, and mow the lawn if it is dry, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 81.

Rain will return to the forecast tonight, according to the National Weather Service, mainly after 4 a.m. The low tonight will be around 65, and the chance of rain is 30 percent.

On Thursday, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, the weather service said. The high will be near 82.

Widespread storms are expected on Friday with the chance for isolated severe storms, according to the weather service.

Heavy rain Friday and Friday night may lead to continued or additional flooding along area rivers, creeks, and streams, the weather service said.
