For the third straight year, Kansas City Kansas Community College has landed a high school standout from Wichita – Brooklyn Bockover from Bishop Carroll.

A 5-5 point guard, Bockover averaged 2.3 assists per game, 2.8 points and 1.5 rebounds while shooting 46 percent from the floor and 67 percent from the free throw line this past season.

“Brooklyn is a pass first point guard who will give us a different look offensively,” said KCKCC coach Valerie Stambersky. “She can shoot and guard and has a great work ethic.”

Two years ago, KCKCC landed Cassidy Harbert of Wichita Northwest, who finished as the Lady Blue Devils’ all-time leader in assists; and last year recruited Janay Jacobs of Wichita Kapaun-Mount Carmel.
