The all-Kaw Valley League girls soccer teams have been announced, and soccer teams currently are involved in regional playoffs.
Of all the high school girls soccer teams in Wyandotte County, Harmon is the only one ranked No. 1 in the playoffs.
In Class 5A girls soccer playoff action, No. 1 Harmon, 13-1-1, received a bye in the playoff tournament. They will play the winner of the Tecumseh-Shawnee Heights and Topeka Seaman game, scheduled for May 19. Harmon will play the winner at 6 p.m. May 22 at Harmon’s Art Lawrence stadium.
In the girls Class 4A northeast regional soccer playoffs, No. 5 Piper, 9-6, will play No. 12 Bishop Ward, 2-13-1, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, at Piper High School.
In another Class 4A regional game, No. 4 Sumner Academy, 9-4-1, will play No. 13 Kansas City Christian, 2-14, at 5 p.m. May 19 at Washington High School.
In another Class 4A regional contest, No. 6 Bonner Springs, 9-7, will face No. 11 Basehor-Linwood , 4-12, at 5:30 p.m. May 19 at Bonner Springs High School.
In Class 6A girls soccer playoff action, No. 5 Wyandotte, 8-6-1, will play No. 12 Olathe North, 6-10, at 6 p.m. Monday, May 18, at Art Lawrence Stadium at Harmon High School.
In another regional Class 5A soccer playoff game, No. 4 Lansing, 13-3, will play No. 13 Schlagle, 1-13, at 5 p.m. May 19 at Lansing Middle School.
Another Class 5A girls soccer game, between No. 5 Mill Valley, 12-3, and No. 12 Washington, 4-9-1, will take place at 6 p.m. May 19 at Mill Valley High School, Shawnee.
