Rain, storms in today’s forecast

Strong to severe storms will be possible across portions of the area this evening and overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Large hail and strong damaging winds are the greatest threats from any severe storms that impact the area, the weather service said.

Saturday, thunderstorms are possible after 1 p.m. The high will be 78, with south southwest winds around 14 mph, gusting to 18 mph.

More thunderstorms are possible tonight, the weather service said.

Conditions will improve Sunday, according to the weather service.

Storms and rain is possible before 7 a.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 82 Sunday. The south wind of 14 to 18 mph may gust as high as 28 mph.
