A free Kiwanis bike rodeo will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 16, at Schlitterbahn Waterpark, 9400 State Ave.
There is no charge for this event. Elementary school children and their parents may attend and get free bike helmets and T-shirts, for the first 300 children.
Those attending may participate in a bike riding skills course and tour the Schlitterbahn.
There also will be car seat safety checks. McGruff and Sizzle plan to attend. There will be doughnuts.
The event is sponsored by the Kansas City, Kan., Kiwanis West Club, Schlitterbahn and several other sponsors.
