Matt Crafton won the Toyota Tundra 250 Camping World Truck Series race Friday at Kansas Speedway, after the race leader, Erik Jones, ran out of gas.

Crafton, in the No. 88 Toyota, had enough gas to get across the finish line. It was the second win in the Camping World Truck Series at Kansas Speedway for Crafton.

With only six laps remaining, Erik Jones ran out of gas. Then Tyler Reddick led, running out of gas after three laps. Daniel Suarez led for a while before also running out of gas.

In second place was Ryan Newman, driving the No. 8 Chevrolet, followed by Johnny Sauter in the No. 98 Toyota.

Kansas City, Kan., native Jennifer Jo Cobb, driving the No. 10 Chevy, finished 19th.

Next to running out of gas, the second surprise of the evening was that the racetrack was dry. For several days, fans had been wondering if it would rain during this race. While the race was run under cloudy skies, no rain fell.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup race is scheduled Saturday night at Kansas Speedway. Joey Logano won the Sprint Cup pole Saturday. For ticket information, visit www.kansasspeedway.com.
