Isolated thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon, but severe weather is unlikely with this activity, according to the National Weather Service.

Residents will have the daytime today for mostly sunny skies with a high near 82. After that, more rain and storms are in the forecast, the weather service said. Expect south winds today from 9 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Another round of thunderstorms will be possible beginning late tonight into Wednesday morning and afternoon, the weather service said.

While these storms are expected to be weakening upon arrival, periods of heavy rain will be possible, according to the weather service.

Additional rounds of thunderstorms are expected Thursday into the weekend, the weather service said.

Some of these storms will have the potential to be strong to severe, according to the weather service.
