Injuries were reported in an accident involving three motorcycles Sunday evening at I-435 northbound, just north of Woodend Road in Kansas City, Kan.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, three motorcycles were northbound on I-435 in the center lane. The accident happened at 8:32 p.m. Sunday.
An unknown vehicle changed lanes in front of one of the motorcycles, which then struck another motorcycle, according to the report. A third motorcycle lost control when trying to avoid the first and second motorcycles, the trooper’s report stated.
One driver, a 37-year-old man from Kansas City, Mo., was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report.
His passenger, a 36-year-old woman from Prairie Village, Kan., also was injured and taken to a hospital.
The second driver, a 30-year-old man from Kansas City, Kan., was injured and taken to the hospital, the report stated.
The third motorcycle driver, a 24-year-old man from Independence, Mo., also was injured and taken to the hospital.
All of the motorcycle drivers and passengers were wearing helmets, according to the report.

Motorcycle overturns in accident
A Honda motorcycle exited westbound I-70 to southbound I-435, drove off the roadway and overturned on Saturday, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report.
The accident happened at 6:13 p.m. Saturday, the report stated.
The driver, a 27-year-old man from Colorado Springs, Colo., was not injured, according to the report.
