A Jeep overturned on eastbound I-70 about 7:52 a.m. May 1, according to the Kansas Turnpike Authority.
The Jeep and a Nissan four-wheel drive were eastbound on I-70 west of the 57th Street exit, when the Jeep stopped for traffic and the Nissan hit the rear of the Jeep, the trooper’s report stated.
The Jeep then struck the inside barrier wall and overturned, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Nissan, a 22-year-old woman from Lawrence, Kan., was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report.
The driver of the Jeep, a 40-year-old man from Platte City, Mo., was not injured, the report stated.
