Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2203 Parallel, will hold the Good Friday Passion of the Lord, in Spanish, at 7 p.m. April 3; the Easter Vigil, in Spanish, at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 4; and Easter Masses April 5 at 8 a.m. in English and 9:30 a.m. in Spanish.

Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N. 53rd St., will hold the Good Friday Passion of the Lord at 7 p.m. April 3; the blessing of food at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4; the Easter Vigil at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 4; and Easter Mass at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, April 5.

Haven Baptist Church, 3430 Hutton Road, plans Easter worship services at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. April 5.

Judson Baptist Church, 8300 State Ave., plans an Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. April 5; morning worship services are at 8:30 and 11 a.m. April 5. A children’s Easter party is planned from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at the Fellowship Hall.

A weekly Scripture Group with Bible Sharing and Reflection, Lectio and Journaling, is offered from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays at Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kan. Living Water United Methodist Church, 3001 N. 115th St., will hold its annual community Easter event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4. Open Door Baptist Church, 3033 N. 103rd Terrace, plans a cantata, “We Will Remember,” that will be presented April 12, the Sunday after Easter. Easter services are at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 5.

Persons of all Christian traditions are invited to participate in Taizé prayer on Thursday, April 9, at 7 p.m. in Annunciation Chapel in the Mother House of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, 4200 S. 4th St., Leavenworth, Kan. (The prayer session has been moved to the second Thursday due to Holy Thursday observance the first week of April.) Taizé prayer is a meditative, candlelit service that includes simple chants sung repeatedly, silence, and prayers of praise and intercession. St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th, will hold the Good Friday Passion of the Lord at 7 p.m. Friday, April 3; a blessing of food at 2 p.m. Holy Saturday, April 4; an Easter Vigil service at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 4; and Easter Sunday Masses at 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. The church has scheduled a Spanish language Mass at 2 p.m. April 5 and a Burmese language Mass at 2 p.m. April 5.

Holy Week services will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1300 N. 18th St. A Good Friday service will be at 7 p.m. April 3. A Hallelujah Parade is planned Saturday, April 4, in the chapel. The parish will join with the Historic Westheight Neighborhood Association to sponsor an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, on the parish grounds. Easter services are planned April 5 in English at 10 a.m. and in Spanish at 7 p.m.

Stony Point Christian Church,
149 S. 78th St., will have an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, in the church park. The event will be in the Cole Activity Center in case of inclement weather. Children who are participating are asked to bring their own baskets.

Trinity Community Church, 5010 Parallel Parkway, will have a Chris Cakes pancake breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m. Easter Sunday, April 5. The morning worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Live translation into Spanish is available at the service.

Wyandotte United Methodist Church, 7901 Oakland Ave., will have a sunrise Easter service at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, April 5; breakfast at 8 a.m., Sunday school at 8:45 a.m. and Easter worship at 9:45 a.m. April 5.
