A double shooting has been reported in the 800 block of North 70th Street, according to preliminary information.
One person was reported dead, and one in the hospital following the shooting, according to police.
A spokesman said the police responded to a shooting call at 2:07 p.m. March 19.
A man in his 30s was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and a woman was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound, the spokesman said.
When they arrived, officers found two persons who had been shot inside a residence, police said.
This incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit, which is encouraging anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
