A homicide victim found in rural Leavenworth County on K-5 near Marxen Road has been identified as Karissa Warren, 22, of Kansas City, Kan., according to the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office.
Leavenworth County authorities stated in a news release that deputies responded at 8;30 a.m. Sunday to a call about a body at a field entrance road near K-5 highway on Marxen Road.
At that time, deputies confirmed that an adult woman was deceased, according to the statement.
Detectives for the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the homicide.
