New $30 million DFA building project on tonight’s UG Standing Committee meeting agenda

The Dairy Farmers of America office building is on tonight’s Administration and Human Services Standing Committee meeting, expected to begin around 5:15 p.m. at the fifth floor meeting room, City Hall, 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kan.

The new $30 million office building is proposed for 98th Street, between State and Parallel Parkway.

The UG committee meeting will consider a resolution allowing the county administrator to execute a development agreement with DFA; authorize $4.5 million in street improvements; and authorize issuance of $4.5 million in temporary notes.

The UG Public Works and Safety Committee meeting will be held at 5 p.m. tonight on the fifth floor.

According to the agenda, the committee is expected to discuss placing a fee on organizations for holding parades and marathons, which would offset the cost to the city.
