Three students from Kansas City, Kan., are appearing in a theater production at the University of Saint Mary, Leavenworth.
The students from Kansas City, Kan., in the production, “Almost, Maine,” include Anthony Clark, Alyssa Papageorgiou, and Olivia Hatchel.
The student-run production will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, through Saturday, Feb. 14, in Xavier Theatre on the USM main campus at 4100 S. 4th St., Leavenworth.
John Cariani’s romantic comedy “Almost, Maine” includes nine separate vignettes—cleverly exploring love and its perils in the remote northern town of Almost, Maine. This Off-Broadway hit has been praised for its whit, twists, and irony, and has been produced by over 2,500 theater companies in the United States since the premiere performance in 2004.
USM senior Gemma Maliszewski, of Wichita, Kan., is the director of this year’s student production.
