Shepherd’s Center to hold Adventures in Learning Jan. 16

The Shepherd’s Center of Kansas City, Kan., will hold Adventures in Learning on Friday, Jan. 16.

The free program will be held at Grace Lutherean Church, 3333 Wood Ave., Kansas City, Kan.

The program begins with health screenings and fellowship at 9 a.m.

At 10 a.m. there will be a choice of presentations including a travelogue by Ed Shutt, “Images of Kansas,” and “An Overview of Western Wyandotte County in 2014-2015,” by Murrel Bland.

At 11 a.m. are two programs, one on health from Good Shepherd Hospice, and an “Origins of Kansas Place Names” program by Ed Shutt.

Lunch is at noon, at a cost of $4 with reservations, or those attending may bring their own lunch.
