On Thanksgiving, Nov. 24, there will be no trash or recycling collection for residents, according to the UG.
Trash usually collected on Thursday will be collected on Friday, and trash normally collected on Friday will be collected on Saturday.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Board of Public Utilities administrative offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Emergency BPU services are available around the clock, a spokesman stated. Customers may call 913-573-9522 for power emergencies and 913-573-9622 for water emergencies.
