The 7-month-old victim from a drive-by shooting in the 2700 block of North Early has died, police said this morning.
The child was identified as Jaquail Mansaw, a boy who was 7 months old.
The second victim, who is the mother of the child, had minor injuries that did not require treatment, a police spokesman said. The two victims were inside the home at the time of the shooting.
The drive-by shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. Sunday in an area that is a few blocks from from 8th and Quindaro.
The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department’s Major Case Unit, which is asking anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
