Fog advisory in effect

A dense fog advisory is in effect in Wyandotte County until 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Visibility may be reduced to a quarter of a mile or less in places, the weather service said.

Motorists should use caution and allow extra time when traveling, according to the weather service.

Above normal temperatures are forecast for the rest of this week, the weather service said.

There is a 30 percent chance of storms on Saturday night, according to the weather service.

Today, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 86 and a calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 65 and an east southeast wind of 5 mph becoming calm in the evening, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, it will be sunny, with a high near 88 and a light and variable wind becoming east northeast around 6 mph in the afternoon, the weather service said.

Wednesday night, it will be clear, with a low of 64 and an east northeast wind of 6 mph becoming calm in the evening, according to the weather service.

Thursday, it will be sunny with a high near 89 and a calm wind becoming south southeast 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon, the weather service said.
