The victim of a homicide in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 13, in the 1700 block of North 58th Street has been identified, according to a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.
The victim was Carlton Newsom, 44, according to the police spokesman.
Officers were sent to the address on a call about a shooting Wednesday, and discovered an adult male victim inside a home, the spokesman stated.
The incident is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Major Case Unit. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS, according to the spokesman.
