Passenger injured in three-car accident on I-70

A passenger in a car had a minor injury following a three-vehicle crash at 4:25 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, on eastbound I-70 near 18th.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, three vehicles were eastbound on I-70 when a Nissan Sentra made a lane change, striking a Chevy Malibu. The Malibu went into a spin and struck a Chevy truck, according to the report.

The driver of the Nissan, a 21-year-old man from Kansas City, Missouri, was not injured, according to the report.

The driver of the Malibu, a 61-year-old man from Kansas City, Kansas, was not injured, the trooper’s report stated. A 54-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman passenger in the Malibu was taken to a hospital with a possible minor injury, according to the trooper’s report.

The driver of the Chevy truck, a 41-year-old man from Mount Juliet, Tennessee, had no apparent injury, the trooper’s report stated.
