Temperatures go back to the freezer today

Temperatures on Tuesday are much cooler than Monday’s high of 54.

On Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., the high was 13 in Wyandotte County with a wind chill of 2, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday’s high is expected to reach 25, the weather service said.

Temperatures will remain below freezing while warming again toward the end of the week, according to the weather service.

Wind chills are expected to be around 5 to 10 below on Wednesday morning, the weather service said.

Don’t expect temperatures to go very high on Wednesday, according to forecasters. They may climb to about 33 here, but the 5 to 10 mph southerly winds will probably contribute to daily maximum wind chill readings in the 15 to 25 degree range. While Wednesday starts the warming trend, it won’t get that far until Thursday.

Thursday, the high returns to the 40s, then on Saturday, the high may be 46, the weather service said.

Today, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 25, and a north northeast wind of 8 to 10 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low of 10, according to the weather service. A north wind of 5 to 8 mph will become light and variable after midnight.

Wednesday, it will be sunny, with a high near 33, the weather service said. A light and variable wind will become south 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Wednesday night, there will be increasing clouds, with a low of 28, according to the weather service. A south southwest wind of 8 to 10 mph will gust as high as 20 mph.

Thursday, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 41, the weather service said. A southwest wind of 8 to 10 mph will become north northwest in the afternoon, with winds gusting up to 18 mph.

Thursday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 19, according to the weather service.


Friday, it will be sunny, with a high near 37, the weather service said.

Friday night, it will be clear, with a low of 19, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be sunny, with a high near 46, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 30, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be sunny, with a high near 47, the weather service said.

Sunday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 27, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 52, the weather service said.
