Mild weather in store for Monday

Monday’s forecast is sunny with a high near 50. Winds will be west northwest from 6 to 9 mph.

The sunshine today should warm up the temperatures this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Tonight, a cold front now over North Dakota will move southward to this area. Expect a low of about 27. A west wind from 5 to 8 mph will change to the north after midnight. A new wave of stratus clouds is expected to come in from the north later tonight and may stick around through Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the temperature drops several degrees, and the high will be near 37. Skies will be mostly sunny and a north wind will be from 3 to 8 mph. Tuesday night, expect partly cloudy skies and a low of 26.

On Wednesday, the high will be near 40. Wednesday night, the low will be 34. There is a slight chance of patchy light rain.

Temperatures will rise on Thursday, when skies will be partly sunny with a high near 48. The low will be 37 on Thursday night.

Friday, the high will be 53 with partly sunny skies. On Friday night, the low will be around 42 with mostly cloudy skies.

Saturday, the high will be near 55 with partly sunny skies. On Saturday night, skies will be mostly cloudy with a low around 44.
