Rain, storms in today’s forecast, with mild temperatures

Thunderstorms and rain are in the forecast for Monday through 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Showers and a thunderstorm are likely before 1 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, the weather service said. Temperatures were 57 degrees at 9 a.m. Monday.

Strong storms also are possible Tuesday night into the overnight hours, according to the weather service. The potential exists for a few strong storms with gusty winds the main threat, the weather service said. Heavy rainfall is also possible with these storms.

The high today will be near 67, with temperatures rising Tuesday to 77, according to the weather service. The high will be in the low 70s on Wednesday and Thursday, then it will drop to 61 on Friday, and will remain in the 60s for the weekend.

Today, there is a 70 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., the weather service said. Clouds will gradually clear, with a high near 67. It will be breezy, with a northwest wind of 14 to 20 mph, gusting as high as 29 mph. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 51 and a southwest wind of 3 to 5 mph, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 77 and a south southwest wind of 5 to 11 mph, the weather service said.

Tuesday night, there is a 90 percent chance of precipitation, with showers, followed by showers and possibly a thunderstorm, after 10 p.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 63 with a southeast wind of 9 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 24 mph. Between a half and three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible.

Wednesday, there is a 60 percent chance of showers, with possibly a thunderstorm, before 1 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., the weather service said. Skies will gradually become sunny, with a high near 75. A southwest wind of 14 to 16 mph will gust as high as 31 mph. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.


Wednesday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 51, according to the weather service.

Thursday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 71, the weather service.

Thursday night, there will be a 30 percent chance of showers, with a low of 49, according to the weather service.

Friday, there Is a 40 percent chance of showers, with a high near 61, the weather service said.

Friday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers before 1 a.m., with a low of 43, according to the weather service.

Saturday, it will be sunny, with a high near 63, the weather service said.

Saturday night, it will be clear, with a low of 43, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be sunny, with a high near 67, the weather service said.
