Showers, thunderstorms expected today

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.

More showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday through Sunday, the weather service said.

No severe weather or flooding is expected, according to the weather service.

Temperatures will decrease a few more degrees today with highs in the upper 70s, the weather service said. This cooling trned will continue into the weekend with more normal temperatures by early next week.

After the rain clears Sunday, temperatures will be in the mid-70s on Monday, according to the weather service.

Today, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 79 and a southeast wind of 5 to 8 mph, the weather service said. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Tonight, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 66 and an east southeast wind of 3 to 7 mph, according to the weather service. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible.

Friday, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, followed by showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 5 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 78 with a southeast wind of 6 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible.

Friday night, there is a 60 percent chance of rain, with possibly a thunderstorm before 7 p.m., followed by more showers and thunderstorms after 7 p.m., according to the weather service. The high will be 65 with a calm wind. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Saturday, there is a 90 percent chance of showers before 10 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 75 with a calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.

Saturday night, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 61. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.

Sunday, there is a 40 percent chance of showers, with a high near 74, the weather service said.

Sunday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 55, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be sunny, with a high near 74, the weather service said.
