The 47th and Mission Road area will have a “47 Foodie Fest” from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8.

The Foodie Fest will feature food, drink, live music and kids’ activities. It is a free event, held rain or shine.
Vendors will include 1889 Pizza, Gus’s Fried Chicken, Joe’s KC, Lulu’s Thai Noodle Shop, Taco Republic, Dynamic Discs, Emler Swim School, Sole Patch, Farmer’s House, Westwood Chiropractic, Youthfront and ALH Home Renovations.
Entertainment will be by “Four Fried Chickens and a Coke.” Three will be bounce houses, face painting and balloon artists. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
The event is sponsored by the cities of Westwood, Roeland Park and the Unified Government.
