Three nationally ranked women’s volleyball teams will be in the field in the first Kansas City Kansas Community College Volleyball Invitational Friday and Saturday.
Iowa Western (11-1-2) comes into the six-team tournament ranked No. 5 in NJCAA Division I while Johnson County (25-3) is ranked No. 8 and Coffeyville (22-8) No. 14 in Division II. Southeast Nebraska, Wentworth Military Academy and KCKCC will make up the rest of the field.
Each team will play four contests with simultaneous play on two courts. The schedule:
Friday, Oct. 16
2 p.m. – KCKCC VS. Iowa Western; Coffeyville vs. Wentworth.
4 p.m. – Johnson County vs. Iowa Western; Wentworth vs. Southeast.
6 p.m. – KCKCC vs. Coffeyville; JCCC vs. Southeast
Saturday, Oct. 17
10 a.m. – KCKCC vs. Wentworth; Iowa Western vs. Coffeyville
Noon – Johnson County vs. Wentworth; Iowa Western vs. Southeast
2 p.m. – KCKCC vs. Southeast; Johnson County vs. Coffeyville
