The University of Kansas Hospital’s Burnett Burn Center reported the total number of patients with fireworks-related injuries since Friday was 25.
Three of the persons were hospitalized, according to the report.
Of the 25 patients, 21 were male and four were female, according to a news release from KU Hospital.
Ages of the victims ranged from 5 to 45.
Injuries were located on hands or faces of the victims, and the common type of fireworks producing injuries was a mortar.
The fireworks report was updated at 3 p.m. Monday, July 4.
The Burnett Burn Center at the KU Health System in Kansas City, Kansas, is a nationally accredited burn center for treatment of both adult and child burns.
