Police seek public’s help to identify injured man
Update: Police have announced that this person has been identified.
Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance to identify a man who was injured late last night, Thursday, Dec. 8.
The man was taken to a hospital where he is unconscious and has no identification, a police spokesman stated.
The man is between 17 and 25 years old with brown eyes and about 5-8 and 170 pounds. He has a tattoo on his right forearm that appears to be the initials L.L.D. in red ink, according to the spokesman.
Anyone who knows the identity of the man is asked to call KCKPD’s nonemergency line at 913-596-3000.
Homicide reported at 10th and Pacific
The 37th homicide of the year was reported Friday in Kansas City, Kansas, near 10th and Pacific Avenue.
A shooting left one person dead, a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department stated.
Dispatchers received a call at 9:04 a.m. reporting shots fired near the intersection of 10th and Pacific, according to the spokesman.
Officers arrived to discover an adult male on a sidewalk just west of the intersection, the victim of apparent gunshot wounds, the spokesman stated.
This incident is under investigation by the KCKPD Major Case Unit. The crime scene is in a heavy traffic area. Anyone who may have been in the area of 10th and Pacific Ave. around 9 a.m. Friday and noticed anything unusual and anyone with any other information regarding this incident is urged to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477), police stated.
All tips remain anonymous (tipsters are assigned an identification number and not asked their name) and may qualify for a cash reward, according to police.
