Gov. Laura Kelly, a Democrat, and her opponent, Republican Derek Schmidt, will debate on Wednesday, Oct. 5, on KCPT-TV, the PBS station in Kansas City.
The debate will livestream from the DoubleTree Hotel in Overland Park at noon Wednesday and will be broadcast at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Channel 19.1.
Nick Haines of Week in Review will moderate the debate in partnership with the Johnson County Bar Association.
The Unified Government’s American Rescue Plan Act Subcommittee plans to meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, in a virtual meeting.
