Police investigating homicide on North 73rd Place

Kansas City, Kansas, police detectives are investigating a Christmas Eve homicide in the 2900 block of North 73rd Place.

Officers responded to the location on a shots fired call about 9:22 p.m. Dec. 24, according to a police spokesman.

When they arrived, officers found two persons inside the residence, the spokesman stated. One person was deceased and the other person was injured, with apparent gunshot wounds, according to the spokesman.

There were no suspects in custody on Friday night, the spokesman stated.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Major Case Unit is investigating. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS, according to the spokesman.
