A minivan overturned in an accident at 9:23 p.m. Monday, July 12, on northbound I-635 just north of Swartz Road, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
An Audi car and a Chrysler minivan were northbound on I-635, the trooper’s crash log stated.
The minivan was traveling slower than the Audi, the report stated. The Audi attempted an avoidance maneuver and was unable to slow, the trooper’s report stated.
The Audi struck the rear of the minivan, and the minivan overturned, the report stated.
The driver of the Audi, a 21-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man, had a possible minor injury, according to the report.

Garth Brooks’ career was launched back in 1990 at the Wyandotte County Fair. This year the fair has invited an incredible line up of regional bands to perform with hopes of launching another musician’s career.

Tonight, the Highway, and Steven Bankey and the Flatlanders are performing at the fair. Samantha Angell will sing the national anthem.
The fair opens tonight with a ceremony to honor the U.S. military. All veterans and their families get free admission to the fair as a way to thank them for their service.

The fair will bring back the carnival, main stage, free stage, market place, fair food, helicopter rides and of course, the ever popular 4-H.
