Police notes

Shooting reported on Metropolitan Avenue

Police responded to a shooting at 5:40 p.m. April 18 in the 2100 block of Metropolitan Avenue, according to a social media report by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. The suspects were shooting at each other.

A suspect shot at an officer, and hit the officer’s vehicle, according to the report.

Police pursued the suspects’ vehicle, and suspects were taken into custody, the report stated.

Robbery reported


An aggravated robbery was reported at 1:30 p.m. April 18 in the 2800 block of Sewell Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

According to the report, the suspects attacked a victim and took the victim’s belongings. The victim had minor injuries, the report stated.

Domestic battery reported


An aggravated domestic battery was reported at 8:30 p.m. April 18, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

According to the report, a suspect attacked a victim during a disturbance. The suspect grabbed the victim’s neck, causing the victim to not be able to breathe, the report stated.
