Police identify victim of homicide on Rainbow Boulevard

Police have identified the victim of a homicide at 10:35 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 4300 block of Rainbow Boulevard.

The victim was identified as Laron Briggs, 25, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, according to a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

Officers were called to the Pizza Hut on reports that a man had been shot, according to police. When they arrived, they found the victim, who had been shot. Fire Department personnel also responded and confirmed the victim was deceased, according to the police spokesman.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

Police investigating homicide on Rainbow Boulevard

Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating a homicide about 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the 4300 block of Rainbow Boulevard.

According to a police spokesman, officers responded to a shooting call on Tuesday night. When they arrived, they saw a man who had been shot inside the Pizza Hut, the spokesman stated.

Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department personnel also responded and confirmed the victim was deceased, the spokesman stated.

The homicide is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, which is asking anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
