Jones wins Kansas Lottery 300 as emotions flare

The NASCAR Xfinity race on Saturday afternoon was won by Brandon Jones, age 22. It was his first Xfinity race win. Police notes

Shooting into business reported


A shooting into an occupied business was reported at 1:07 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, in the 2500 block of Central Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.


Several shots were fired into a sign on the top of a business, according to police.


There were no injuries, police said.

Once a year the fall psychic fair goes on at the Kansas National Guard Armory, 18th and Ridge, Kansas City, Kansas.

More than 1,500 people attend this event.

One of the vendors, Argus, reads bone. According to Argus, this form of reading has been around since the beginning of time. Bones show the past, the present and what is in store for the future, Argus said.

Argus residents in Des Moines, Iowa, and has done many years of research.

The fair is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
